Professional Services Engineer
Department: Technical Operations - Professional Services
Reports to: VP, Technical Operations
Location: Portland, OR preferred, however remote (US) office may be considered
Summary of Role
Do you have a passion for Open Source software? Excited about what Puppet is doing and want to be a part of it? Love utilizing your technical knowledge in a client-facing role?
Puppet Labs is hiring a Professional Services Engineer who will help our customers succeed through training, consulting and custom development engagements, as well as further Puppet Labs product growth with direct customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Strong Unix &/or Linux SysAdmin or DevOps background, including automation
- Excitement about working with the Puppet community
- Passion for problem solving
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to speak well both with customers and in front of an audience
- Ability to travel up to 75% nationally and internationally as needed
Preferred but not required:
- Computer Science degree or related math/science background
- Proficiency in Ruby
- Large scale infrastructure experience
- Experience with Puppet or other configuration management tools.
